
About Tricia
Tricia's background in education encompasses a range experiences, including working with individual students as a special education teacher, teaching in general education classrooms, and serving at the district level as a BCBA. In this role, she has collaborated on district-wide teams focused on curriculum development, addressing challenging behavior, and implementing MTSS initiatives. Despite her diverse experiences across the educational landscape, her primary commitment has consistently been to cultivate a positive learning environment for both students and staff.

Tricia posses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Mount Mercy University, a Master's degree in Special Education from Morningside University, and a graduate-level certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Drake University. In December of 2021, she achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Tricia's areas of interest and expertise encompass a comprehensive approach to education and employee support. She specializes in effective classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning environment, alongside the implementation of Verbal Behavior strategies to enhance communication skills. Her focus and commitment to Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) ensures that all students receive the tailored support they need to succeed. Additionally, her focus on research-based skills curricula that teaches essential replacement behaviors, while also dedicating resources to support employees in professional growth and development.
When not engaged in her professional responsibilities, Tricia values spending quality time with her husband, their two dogs, a cat, and a flock of thirty ducks on their property in eastern Iowa. She also appreciates every opportunity to visit her adult children who reside in Iowa and Chicago.
